house icon I recently lost my 6 yr old best friend, "Captain Morgan" to a rare form of lymphoma cancer. Devastated with this sudden emptiness in my life, I needed to find a new heartbeat. I searched, requested cocker mix and screamed... there was Ginger, an adorable stunning cinnamon coloured 8 month old little girl and a Morgan look-a-like! Found as a stray, and on death row in the shelter, Cocker Companions Rescue Centre saved her life. Ginger was now up for adoption in Tennessee. Even though I live in Canada, I knew I had to adopt her and bring her home. I quickly contacted Cocker Companions and began the adoption process. When I was approved for the adoption it was an exhilarating moment and my eyes swelled up. I immediately prepared for the long 30 hour round trip between Toronto and Farragut TN to pick up my new friend. The "Meet & Greet" clinched the adoption... Ginger ran straight towards me and I knew we were meant to be together. She was such a happy and playful girl. I was ecstatic to be adopting her. We headed home together... thanks to Cocker Companions for rescuing Ginger and allowing me the opportunity to provide her a loving home and the best life possible.
