By 6 months of age, Copper the Beagle/Coonhound had already been in 3 homes and was in the care of the Beagle Paws Rescue Agency. When we met him we immediately fell in love with his face, however he was adopted by another family. Less than 1 month later we got a call from Beagle Paws, asking if we were still interested in adopting him. We adopted him, though we wondered what challenges we may face as he was given up so many times. To this day we still don't know why he was given up, as he is now a well-adjusted, obedient and loving 2 ½ year old jewel. We are so proud that Copper is in the process of completing his Pet Therapy certification, and has the opportunity to share his love with the elderly in Lodges and Extended Care facilities and share the unconditional love that he has now found.
